Majority of the city however is flat and is suitable for business, housing and industry. Since Albany is not yet so crowded, as of 2010, it hosts to almost 18,000 residents. Shopping in Albany has never been made easier for you and other future residents. You can shop in the Solano Avenue, which is the location for major retail businesses. It has a pedestrian-oriented setup where customers go inside shops lined in the streets. You can see many restaurants, souvenir shops, and groceries.
Other aspects in living such as education, culture and the arts are accessible in Albany. Your children can go to high in either Tilden Preparatory School or the St. Mary’s College High School whose campuses are just in the city. Albany hosts an annual street party and festival called the Solano Stroll which is visited by as many as 250,000 dignitaries and foreign delegates which is usually held in the month of September. The city is also famous for its Golden Gate Fields which is the only racetrack in all of the San Francisco Bay Area. Albany usually have high school music groups playing in many festivals such as the Solano stroll by performing choral and instrumental performances.
